At the beginning of the week we were contacted by a hall of residence in South Shields who wanted us to clean one of their student halls, as it was now the end of the university year and they wanted it to be clean before the new students moved in. They told us that the block had 40 rooms, all of which contained a bed, wardrobe and sink. The block also had four communal kitchens and two lounge rooms that needed to be cleaned, as well as eight toilet and shower rooms.

This week we were contacted by a landlord, who had been left with a very dirty property after some of his tenants moved out unexpectedly. As well as being left with several unpaid council tax bills, he told us that the flat was in quite a bad state, with a lot of dirty dishes, food debris and rubbish throughout, but especially in the bathroom and the kitchen.

At the beginning of the week we were contacted by a local council who wanted us to clean a nearby primary school before the children returned after the summer holidays. They told us that the school was quite a small one and that they had a caretaker, who did cleaning regularly, but he wasn’t able to carry out a deep clean himself and they wanted us to clean all of the windows and buff all the floors throughout the building.

At the weekend we were contacted by a law firm in Morpeth who wanted us to clean their office space. They told us that they had thrown an office party on Friday night and wanted the office thoroughly cleaned before everyone returned to work on Monday morning. When we arrived at the office, we discovered why our customer had decided to have it professionally cleaned.

This week we were contacted by the local council, who asked us to clean an old people’s home in Ashington. They informed us that on the day they wished to hire us, most of the residents would be out on a day trip, while those that were unable to go would be in the lounge area, leaving us free to get on with cleaning all of the rooms.

This week the owners of a mansion in Alnwick contacted us, to ask us if we could give their property a spring clean. They told us that the house was extensive, with eleven bedrooms, six bathrooms and several rooms for entertaining, and though it wasn’t very dirty, it was hard for them to keep on top of the cleaning all year round.

This week, the executors of an estate in Berwick Upon Tweed contacted us to ask if we would clean the property of a recently deceased man in Berwick Upon Tweed. They informed us that they had already had the property cleared of the man’s belongings and furniture, but now they wanted us to give it a thorough clean as it was going to be put on the housing market as soon as possible.

This week we were called to a two bedroom flat in the Cramlington area of Northumberland. Our customer told us that she had been living in the rented flat with her partner for the past ten years, but as they were now in the position to buy their own house, they were moving out. In order to get the substantial deposit back from their landlord, they asked us to give the flat a thorough clean.

We were contacted earlier this week by a couple that had been having extensive building work done to their house in Blyth for the past two months. They told us the builders had taken down a partition wall, renovated their attic space into a study area and also added a conservatory to the back of the property. Although the quality of the work was very good, their attempt to clean up after themselves had been less impressive and they had left a lot of building debris behind, as well as a lot of dust and dirt in all of the carpets.
