The housing association needed the property cleared, sanitised, and made safe for maintenance teams to begin refurbishment. The job required expertise in handling sensitive situations, hazardous waste, and deep environmental cleaning.

Initial Inspection & Planning

Our team conducted a full site inspection, entering with caution due to the unknown structural and biological risks. Findings included:

Step-by-Step Clearance & Cleaning Process

This six-day project was handled in four key phases, executed by a trained team of four, led by Sophie.

✅ Phase 1: Pre-Clearance Safety Measures

  • Full PPE provided for all staff, including respirators due to mould.

  • Installation of industrial-grade air scrubbers to remove airborne spores and odours.

  • On-site pest control conducted an initial assessment and baiting.

✅ Phase 2: Sorting, Recovery & Waste Removal

  • Carefully sorted through hoarded items to identify:
