Ms. Atkinson had recently completed a significant refurbishment of her traditional stone-built property located just outside Wooler, on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. The project included:
- Removal of interior partition walls to create an open-plan living space
- Full rewiring and new light fittings throughout
- Installation of a new kitchen and utility room
- Sandblasting and resealing of original interior stone walls
- Brand new engineered oak flooring throughout the ground floor
Despite the high-quality workmanship, the builders left behind substantial post-construction mess: fine dust in every corner, stubborn plaster smears, adhesive residue on windows and floors, and visible footprints across the brand-new wood surfaces.
