In early July 2025, Sophie’s Cleaning Company was contacted by a man seeking help for his mother’s flat in Blyth, Northumberland. Over the course of several years, his mother had developed hoarding behaviours that led to extreme clutter, health hazards, and limited access to several parts of the property.
The flat had become unmanageable, unsafe, and emotionally distressing for both the client and his mother. Initial Visit & Risk Assessment
We arranged a site visit within 48 hours and completed a full walkthrough with the client. Our findings included:

Washed and sanitised windows, radiators, and internal woodwork
