In early May 2025, Sophie’s Cleaning Company was contacted by a social worker acting on behalf of an elderly man living in West Auckland, County Durham. After a fall that resulted in hospitalisation, it became clear that his home was in a severe state of disrepair due to chronic hoarding disorder, worsened by poor health and mobility issues over the past decade.

Initial Assessment
