Mrs. Denise Carter reached out to our team after inheriting her late uncle’s property in South Houghton-le-Spring. This was a two-day job involving a highly skilled, fully equipped team with experience in biohazard-level cleaning and deep sanitisation. Our approach was systematic, respectful, and safety-conscious:
Day 1 – Clearance & Safety Preparation

Waste and clutter removal: We removed over 40 black bags of non-hazardous waste, sorted recyclable materials, and disposed of spoiled food and perishables.

Rodent sanitation: All affected areas were cleaned, disinfected, and deodorised. We used enzyme-based cleaners and rodent deterrent sprays.

Initial airing out: We opened all windows, removed curtains and blinds, and used industrial air movers to begin ventilating the property.
Day 2 – Deep Clean

Kitchen deep clean: Degreased walls, worktops, and appliances; removed and sanitised the fridge and oven; cleaned behind large units. Mould spots on tile grout were safely treated.

Bathroom restoration: We descaled all taps and tiles, removed mildew, sanitised the toilet, bath, and basin, and applied anti-fungal treatment to grouting.

Whole-house surface cleaning: Walls, skirting boards, light switches, and floors were all scrubbed and disinfected.

Odour treatment: We used an ozone generator to neutralise persistent smells and followed up with a dry fogging treatment to refresh the air.
Results
The transformation was dramatic. What was once an overwhelmed and neglected space became a fresh, clean, and safe home. With all rooms cleared, aired, and sanitised, Mrs. Carter could now move forward with either letting or selling the property.
