Doritos on the table, orderves stuck in the sides of the couch and plastic bottles lay lifeless on the floor. It’s that time of the season, friends tell a friend for that ‘After Party Clean.’ Now first things first, in order to get your homely abode looking like when you first moved in, start from the back. Yes. Move the couch, wall-units, and the dining table used to host the finger-food for your guests, to the middle of the living room. That way you can hoover the hidden dirt and dust anything else in-between.

For the single hard-working individual housework can be difficult, the house or flat can seem like an un-scalable mountain of dust and discarded clothes. Its hard to know where to start. Shall we dust the shelves, hoover the floor, or thump the cushions back into shape? Or shall we just go out again to the nearest restaurant or pub, forget about the housework, neglect the dishes, think about hiring a cleaner?

How to Clean the Back and the Bottom of the Refrigerator (Be careful, Unplug the cord if necessary): Bind a sock which you do not use anymore with rubber band on a stick.

A great way to remove built up grease is to fill a 1 litre spray-mist bottle (the type you spray the plants with) with hot water and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. For heavily stained grease increase this to 5 tablespoons. Spray onto the greasy areas. Leave this to soak in for at least an hour. The baking soda breaks down and absorbs the grease. Next, run a cloth over a small area to see if the grease shifts.
